Like any non-profit we require funding to support our organization and programs. Donations are the lifeblood of any organization, given for the charity’s general use and purpose. Donations are given purely for the greater good of the community, without regard to public recognition. Beyond the monetary significance, donations let us know that you see the value in what we are doing. This appreciation factor is just one of the meaningful rewards of giving. Donations to a charitable organization offers you a chance to make a difference in your community and in your children’s future, beyond what you as an individual could achieve.
We actively pursue funding from a wide variety of public, private and governmental sources. But we also need corporations and foundations who believe in our Mission and who wish to actively participate in specific programs, by offering their time and expertise. We may acknowledge them by listing them on our web site, letterhead and at times hold luncheons or dinners in their honor. Branch partners and sponsors usually have a high profile in the community, contribute financially to the organization and represent the organization at public events. They can be invaluable with finding additional partners and sponsors. They may sit on a committee or advisory board offering their guidance and experience and furthering our success.
Sponsors: Individuals or organizations that show their support by funding a specific activity or event. Sometimes they choose to participate in the event as well, while others prefer to lend financial support only and have their name listed as a sponsor. There are many opportunities in each platform from which to choose a sponsorship, such as organization publications, web site maintenance, luncheons, or other gatherings that further our mission, sponsoring an exchange student, fund raising, supporting the Biography Catalog Software and Maintenance. The Program Manager can create additional choices specific to each community. In every case the sponsor’s name will be prominently displayed in the appropriate location. We do not allow sponsorship for any member position or individual in the organization.
Supporters: People who actively devote their time helping us achieve our goals by participating in our programs or speaking on our behalf at various events. They usually will not hold a specific position but can be counted on for assistance when called upon. We recognize their importance, when appropriate, by listing them in our publications and website.
